Your House is Mine by Bullet Space

Your House is Mine by Bullet Space is both a book of posters and a unique art object composed of the silkscreen frame used to create the posters and slides of the posters on walls in NYC. It is a large and visually arresting piece that is lit from behind to illuminate the slides. The major preservation challenge with this artwork is that the color ink used in slides is unstable when exposed to light and will fade dramatically within a couple decades unless stored in dark and cool conditions.
This piece (which lives in our reading room) is also the subject of one of my favorite reading room quotes: “Look, it’s archival duct tape!” (hint: that’s not a thing)
